The music played at John’s funeral reflected the heart of who he was. One of his lifelong favourites, Perfect Day by Lou Reed, set a tone that felt true to him — reflective, honest, and full of feeling.
The other song chosen was Walking on Sunshine, the song that belonged to John and his girls. It carried memories of joy, laughter, and the bright moments they shared together. It meant so much to the family that John’s daughter, Holly, had a version of it played on her wedding day, a quiet tribute to her dad and the happiness he brought into their lives.
